I live in Utah. I’ve been active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during my life, including a two-year mission to the East Central States Mission in 1956 and 1957. While attending college at Utah State University for five years, I took one religion class at the LDS Institute each Quarter, and those classes gave me a good foundation in the scriptures, church doctrine, and the nature and teachings of Jesus Christ.
I’ve created this site to share the good news of the Gospel with all who visit! My acceptance of Jesus Christ as my Savior has given me peace and hope for the future.

I am very impresed with this site; I live in Paraguay, South America, I am a converted member of the Church for 35 years; I have found very plain and clear the doctrine here exposed and I have read your experience on prayer in your finding a home in Massachusets.

The site is very well done. I, however, believe that the church and missionaries in general try to make Mormonism look Christian. They ignore certain teachings. I am a Christian and when I speak to someone about my faith I don’t hide anything. My experience with Mormon Missionaries has shown them to be very unethical and definitely unChristian. I don’t like to speak negatively about different religions. I can disagree and still respect them. But in this case, I have little respect for those that deceive weak Christians.

I’m sorry you believe in weak Christians, and that is only why they join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I do not feel weak, I love my Savior, I believe this is His work and that He loves all of us. I know because I prayed. I know because I have read the Book of Mormon. Man is not perfect, judging a religion on someone trying to do their best is unreasonable, especially if your looking for faults. If you do not feel like a weak Christian, read the Book of Mormon (without anti-literature) and pray asking God if it is true. Don’t ask man, that is anti-literature, go to the true source, our Father answers prayers! We have living prophets to guide and help us in these times, our religion emulates the Saviors very church while on the earth. My question is, why would God leave us without prophets in such distressful times? I love Isaiah, he foresaw our day, I love the other prophets of old. Study your Bible, learn the true points of the Savior’s church while he was on the earth…ponder on the church being removed because of wickedness (the dark ages) and the promise it would one day be restored. It has been restored and our Savior will come again. Thomas I wish you the best, keep believing in Christ, keep loving His words, keep following His example, and please don’t write me off as not being Christian because you read it somewhere or someone told you so. My Savior is everything to me, He binds my family to eternity, He’s my advocate with the father, He’s the reason I can repent, He’s the reason I desire to serve and love others…He’s the reason! I’m sorry your experience has been bad with some of us, I do not wish to argue, but profess what I believe. May you be in God’s watchful care always. ~Kimberlee

Your response is so humble. I envy that element of humility to a difficult situation. I find this as an example of Christ like attitude towards those who try to throw the LDS church under the bus. I admire how you humbly and lovingly approached Thomas. I need to be more like you in this regard, more like the Savior.
We certainly do need to be more gentle in our approaches with our non-member friends and aquaintances. It is far too easy to be offended if we choose to be, and to break out into a full fledged arguement. A gentle approach like this is so neat! I love how you expressed your testimony in one breath, as well as show Thomas your love for him. All I can say is Cool!

Article of Faith 9 says: “He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.” John 16:12-13 says: “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH –” D&C 132:66 promises more revelation. D&C 121:26-33 promises more revelation.
But the LDS church leadership have not brought for a Word of the Lord (D&C type) revelation since President Woodruff’s 1889 revelation.
It’s true that no new revelations have been added to the Doctrine and Covenants, but that does not imply that LDS prophets have not received revelations.
